Sign up with a recognised university or institutional email and eligibility is verified automatically at sign-up. If your institution is not recognised yet, write to contact@alchemyst.one and we will add it. Labs and departments can buy up to 50 Academic seats on one licence, 10% off every seat from five seats; every member needs an institutional email. In most countries, checkout asks for your institution’s VAT or tax number.
Team licences are available on Professional and Academic. Choose the number of seats and invite colleagues by email; everyone, including you, takes one seat. From five seats, every seat is 10% cheaper, on top of the annual discount. Self-serve goes up to 25 seats on Professional and 50 on Academic; above that, we set up an Enterprise agreement. One invoice goes to the team owner, and a team is either Professional or Academic.

Removing a seat frees it immediately and lowers your next invoice; the period already paid is not refunded. Seats are not tied to a person, so you can reassign one when someone leaves.
